THE ITINERARY
DAY 1:
08.00 am. Depart Nairobi for Arusha, customs and immigration formalities at the Namanga border (app 5 hrs. drive) Lunch in Arusha. This afternoon, continue to Lake Manyara (app 1.5 hrs. drive) dinner and overnight at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.
DAY 2:
After breakfast, drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National Park (famous for its tree climbing Lions) for a game drive and continue to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunches game viewing enroute. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge.
DAY 3:
Enjoy extensive game viewing in the Serengeti. All meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge.
DAY 4:
Serengeti for Ngorongoro Crater visiting the Ol Duvai Prehistoric site enroute (app 3 hours’ drive). Lunch, dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.
DAY 5:
After breakfast, descend into the Crater with picnic lunches for an extensive game viewing tour of the Crater. Afterwards, return to the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6:
Breakfast and depart for Tarangire. Afternoon game viewing in Tarangire. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
DAY 7:
After breakfast, depart for Arusha. In the afternoon link up with the Shuttle bus for the return journey to Nairobi arriving late evening.
