The Ultimate East African Experience-

DAY 1:
Arrival in Nairobi, met and transferred to your Hotel for overnight (all meals excluded).

DAY 2:
Breakfast at the Hotel. At around 10.00am, collected by the driver and commence on a sightseeing tour of Nairobi visiting the Daphne Sheldrick’s animal orphanage to see baby Elephants and Rhinos, later visit the Giraffe Centre, drop by the Utamaduni Craft Centre and later visit the Karen Blixen museum not forgetting the Kazuri bead shop and factory. After the tour, transferred back to the Hotel for overnight.

DAY 3:
After breakfast, the driver will pick you up at 09.30 to begin your safari, heading northeast and passing through pineapple, coffee and tea plantations and subsistence farms, drive to the Sweetwater’s private sanctuary (app. 3 hrs. drive) arriving in time for lunch. This afternoon, enjoy a game viewing drive in the private game sanctuary as well as a visit to the chimps and Morani the tame rhino. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwater’s Tented Camp.

DAY 4:
Breakfast at the Lodge (optional nature walk this morning with the Lodge’s naturalist – can be arranged with the reception the night before at an extra cost of around US$ 40 per person). Game viewing from the Lodge decks. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge.

DAY 5:
Depart after breakfast, heading further north for Samburu (app 3 hrs.) arriving in time for lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon game viewing in the park. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

DAY 6:
Enjoy dawn and late afternoon game drives in the reserve. All meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

DAY 7:
Early rise for breakfast and continue journey, this time heading west passing by the picturesque Thompson falls and descending into the Great Rift Valley to reach the Lake Nakuru National Park in time for a late lunch (app 5 hours’ drive). Afternoon game viewing and bird watching in the park. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Nakuru Lodge.>

The Lake Nakuru National park is world famous for the thousands and at times millions of flamingoes that feed along the shores of the algae rich shallow alkaline lake, the park is also a Rhino sanctuary.

DAY 8:
Early rise and after breakfast, continue your westward journey to the world famous Masai Mara Game reserve arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing, dinner and overnight at Siana Springs Tented Camp.

DAY 9:
Enjoy dawn and late afternoon game drives in the reserve. All meals and overnight at Siana Springs Tented Camp.

DAY 10:
Final game drive at dawn, breakfast at the camp. Later, transferred to the airstrip for the flight to Nairobi departing at 11.00am.
12.00 Arrive Nairobi and check in for the onward flight to Kilimanjaro at 13.00. 13.45 Arrival, met and transferred to Lake Manyara Serena
Lodge with picnic lunches (app 1.5 hours’ drive). Dinner and overnight at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.

DAY 11:
Breakfast at the Lodge and depart for a game viewing drive in the nearby Lake Manyara National Park famous for its tree climbing lions and rock pythons. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.

DAY 12:
Breakfast at the Lodge and continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation area (app 2 hours’ drive). Lunch, dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

DAY 13:
Breakfast and descend into the crater for a game viewing tour on the crater floor with picnic lunches. Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

DAY 14:
Depart for Serengeti after breakfast, visiting the Ol Duvai gorge (a pre-historic site) enroute. Game viewing enroute. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the Serengeti Serena Lodge.

DAY 15:
Extensive game viewing in the Serengeti. All meals and overnight at the Serengeti Serena Lodge.

DAY 16:
Breakfast at the Lodge and transferred to the airstrip for the schedule flight to Arusha departing at 10.50 am. 12.00 Arrival in Arusha. This afternoon, connect the afternoon schedule flight to Zanzibar. Met on arrival and transferred to Zanzibar Serena Inn for dinner and overnight.

DAY 17:
Breakfast at the Hotel. Later, collected from the Hotel and taken to Stonetown for a city tour, spice tour and a visit to the slave market, later return to the Zanzibar Serena Inn for dinner and overnight.

DAY 18:
After breakfast, transferred to Mapenzi Beach Resort. Remainder of the day at leisure Lunch, dinner and overnight at Mapenzi Beach Resort.

DAY 19, 20 & 21:
Full days at leisure on the Beach. All meals and overnights at Mapenzi Beach Resort.

DAY 22:
Breakfast at the Hotel and transferred to the airport for the return flight to Nairobi on arrival, await the return flight back home.
